The Xtreme Performance positioning was recently applied to a capabilities package including a pocket folder and five insert sheets.

What do rock climbing, back country skiing, kayaking, windsurfing, and Formula 1 racing all have in common? These sports demonstrate extreme levels of performance. So does Artisyn Synthetic Paper, a polyolefin-based printing substrate used for durable print and industrial applications. Recently, our client asked us to help raise Artisyn’s visibility in the marketplace and give their team an effective, high-impact sales tool. We grabbed an energy bar and faced the challenge with no fear. The process included:

  • Investigating competing products; identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and evaluating their marketing techniques.

  • Developing a compelling positioning statement for the product, Xtreme Performance, that exploits Artisyn’s competitive advantage: unmatched performance under challenging conditions.

  • Using this positioning to drive the entire brand identity through a unifying creative concept of extreme sports images to illustrate Artisyn’s performance characteristics.

  • Highlighting Artisyn’s unique qualities (durability, printability, compatibility, versatility, flexibility, and bondability) while illustrating a vast array of applications

  • Creating a strategic plan for this identity to be applied to all
marketing collateral including sales literature, trade show booth, Web site, commercial pieces, etc.
