Always There for FHLBank Pittsburgh

We understand what it means to be always there–we've designed FHLBank Pittsburgh's annual report for twenty years. FHLBank Pittsburgh is one of twelve FHLBanks nationwide. Congress created this national network of privately owned wholesale banks in 1932 to ensure available funding for mortgages.

The 2007 report focuses on the Bank's reliability through all economic cycles. Never has the importance of the FHLBanks been more pronounced than in 2007 when a credit crisis proved that, regardless of circumstance, FHLBank funding is always there. The story is told through different customer perspectives, including de novo, large regional, mid-size, and community banks.

We commissioned stipple illustrations–pioneered by The Wall Street Journal–of customers featured in the editorial, as well as the CEO and Chairman for the letter to stockholders. We used the illustrations in combination with full-page charts and graphs to reinforce the message's credibility.

 

20 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP

To celebrate 20 years of partnership and collaboration with the Bank on their annual report, we have compiled a retrospective of all of the covers to honor this formidable accomplishment.

Note: FHLBank Pittsburgh did not file an annual report in 2004.
