Finishing Touches
Relex asked us for our thoughts on the final stages of their new logo (shown below). The client’s main concern was that it took up too much space.

Total Reliability From Start To Finish

When Greensburg, Pa.-based Relex Software Corporation contacted us last November, they wondered if we were up to a challenge: create a new identity, capabilities brochure and support materials for a trade show that was less than two months away. The amount of work to be completed in a limited timeframe was not the only challenge. Relex was relying on us to meet the aggressive deadline and take their marketing efforts to the next level. So what did we tell Relex? “Relax.”

Final Logo
Our refinements included:
  • Suggesting a more stylistic font
  • Moving the swoosh above the type to increase readability and impact
  • Relex wanted to stick with their existing corporate color, a dark purple. We recommended a brighter, more contemporary shade.

The client’s existing brochure (featured right) was dark and copy heavy and utilized dated fonts. Our design strategy was to appeal to the audience, reliability and quality engineers, with a clean, well organized, contemporary look. Engineers like lots of information, so bold headers, white space, and clearly defined captions and section dividers were incorporated to enhance readability.

The capabilities brochure set the tone for the pieces that followed including a trade show booth and 13 product sheets.

We were able to meet all of the deadlines for Relex, and they attended their trade show with a brand new, high-impact visual identity. How did we do it? We were right on target with the design strategy and right in sync with all of the project demands and details. We did a good job of managing the process and the expectations. We knew how to deal with bumps in the road. We worked well under pressure.
